NIFT Application Form 2025 - NTA is expected to release the application form for NIFT 2025 soon. The application will be released online at https://exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT.
The application form for NIFT 2025 will be uniform for all the courses, namely B.Des, M.Des, and B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M. Applicants are given the option to select their choice of study program in the form itself. The detailed admission schedule for NIFT 2025 will accompany the application form to be published by the NTA.
NTA will release the application form for NIFT 2025 soon. The exam is scheduled for Feb 2025. The form is for B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, M.F.M programs.

NIFT Gandhinagar Courses and Admission 2025
NIFT Gandhinagar admission 2024 is open now. NIFT Gandhinagar follows the following process to give admission to students:
- Register online on the NIFT Gandhinagar official website for all modes of access. The last date for NIFT Gandhinagar online registration is the first week of January.
- The admit card will be generated and given to all applicants. The card will be generated through online mode only.
- Written entrance examinations are conducted. All candidates applying for Bachelor of Design and Masters of Design must undergo the GAT and the CAT. All candidates applying for Bachelor of Fashion Technology, Master of Fashion Technology, and Master of Fashion Management must undergo the GAT only.
- The window to receive observations/objections on the GAT exam from the candidate will be open all through the 2nd week of February.
- The entrance exam result will be announced on the NIFT Gandhinagar official portal.
- The situation test will take place for all the selected candidates applying to the NIFT Gandhinagar B.Des course. A group discussion or personal interview will occur for all applying to M.Des, M.FTech, and MFM.
- The final result will be declared online on the official website of NIFT.
Below is the process for NIFT Gandhinagar admission for doctorate courses.
- The candidates must apply online at the NIFT official website. Once submitted, the application status is updated to inform the candidate if they are eligible for the course.
- The admit cards for the entrance exams are released.
- The written test is conducted for eligible candidates.
- The written test results are announced online on the NIFT website.
- The research proposal presentation is conducted along with the interview of the candidate selected in the written test.
- The presentation and interview round results are announced online on the official NIFT admission portal.
- The registration and payment of NIFT Gandhinagar fees occur on or before the last week of July.

NIFT Gandhinagar Cut Off
Students are admitted based on a NIFT Gandhinagar cut-off declared by the institute for different courses yearly.
NIFT Gandhinagar only considers the results of its two entrance exams.
- The first is the General Ability Test (GAT). It is an objective examination to be attempted by all those applying to NIFT.
- The second is the Creative Aptitude Test (CAT). It is administered to both UG and PG design programs. The applicant needs to use their creative aspect and make innovative use of colour and superior skills in this test.
- The weightage of these tests depends on the degree the applicant has opted for.

The NIFT Gandhinagar entrance exams to grant entrance to applicants: CAT and GAT. GAT is common for all degrees and is an objective examination with a definite paper pattern.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Campus
- Campus: The NIFT Gandhinagar campus stretches around 20000 sq. mt. allocated by the Government of India to the university. The government later allotted an additional 10,000 sq. mt. of land on account of the Female Hostel, Director’s Bungalow and staff quarters.
- Cafeteria: NIFT Gandhinagar boasts “Fuel Station” Cafeteria, one of the best cafeterias of all the branches of NIFT across India, offering rich, varied cuisines from across the globe.
- Solar Energy: The university has also collaborated with the Gujarat Energy and Research Management Institute (GERMI), to install five Solar PV Bench Modules across campus under the Indo-German Energy Program by GIZ. The benches are an ideal sustainable energy point for students to charge their laptops and phones while functioning on-campus.
- Faculty: It has facilities that are easy to access and with excellent faculty at the constant disposal of the students. HostelNIFT Gandhinagar Scholarships
Undergraduate and postgraduate students are provided NIFT Gandhinagar scholarships on a merit-cum-need basis under SARTHAK on clearing the entrance examination by waiving tuition fees.
- 50% application fees are waived off for SC/ST/PWD category.

2. 50% of the tuition fee is waived off for NIFT employees, both regular and contract if they are pursuing PhD at NIFT. Security deposits, library fees, and medical and scholar development fees are waived off for NIFT employees.
3. 50% of the tuition fee is waived off for scholars admitted to PhD programmes from other government institutions under MOT.
Eligibility Criteria for NIFT Gandhinagar Scholarships
NIFT scholarships are provided to students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses on a need basis by waiver of tuition fees.
Apart from this, some seats are reserved in the institution for economically and socially backward classes like SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD.
Employees of NIFT, both contract and regular, and scholars admitted to PhD programmes from other government organisations under MOT are entitled to tuition fees and security deposit, library fees and medical and scholar development fee waiver.
NIFT Gandhinagar Courses and Fee Structure
NIFT Gandhinagar courses include various undergraduate and postgraduate courses for students to pursue in fashion, design, fashion management, technology, and communications.

NIFT Gandhinagar Eligibility Criteria 2024
For NIFT Gandhinagar UG Programmes
The maximum age limit to apply to NIFT Gandhinagar UG programmes is 24 years. There are two categories of undergraduate programs with their respective NIFT Gandhinagar eligibility criteria:
- Bachelors of Design (B.Des) (fashion design/leather design/accessory design/textile design/knitwear design/fashion communication)
A passing grade in Class 12 examination in the Class 12 pattern of examination or any equivalent from any recognised board in India/General Certificate Examination (GCE) at the advanced (A) level from any foreign universities or a national open school examination with a minimum of five subjects.
2. Bachelor of Fashion Technology-B.FTech (Apparel production)
A passing grade in Class 12 examination in the Class 12 pattern of examination or any equivalent from any recognised board in India/foreign universities with physics and mathematics (advanced A level for foreign degrees) with a minimum of five subjects. Or
A diploma of three-four years in any branch of Engineering from an institution recognised by the AICTE.
For NIFT Gandhinagar PG Programmes
There is no age bar for applying for NIFT master's courses. The eligibility for postgraduate degrees is subject to the following categories:
- Master of Design (M.Des)
The candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree from any discipline from any university recognised in India or an undergraduate diploma of at least three years from NIFT or NID.
2. Master of Fashion Management (MFM and M.FTech)
The candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree from any discipline from any university recognised in India or an undergraduate diploma of at least three years from NIFT or NID.
To be eligible for a NIFT Gandhinagar M.FTech, a B.FTech from NIFT or a BE or B.Tech from any university recognized in India is required.
For the NIFT Gandhinagar Doctorate programme
A master's degree in design, fashion technology, fashion communication or BE/B.Tech/any other relevant masters as approved by the institute.
NIFT Gandhinagar Application Process
- The candidates must apply online under the NIFT Gandhinagar application portal application section.
- Check your NIFT Gandhinagar eligibility for your preferred course provided on the website and gather required documents (candidate’s aadhar card, ID proof, Class 10 mark sheet and certificate, Class 12 mark sheet and certificate, UG degree certificate (if needed), PG degree certificate (if needed), etc.)
- The guidelines for applying online may be referred to for this purpose. The application prospectus is available with the guidelines on the NIFT website free of cost. (Refer link at the end to access the prospectus).
- Pay the application fee through an online payment gateway.
- Submit the NIFT Gandhinagar application form.
NIFT Gandhinagar Application fees
The NIFT Gandhinagar application fees for the programme must be paid through net banking to the bank account details provided on the website separately for each bachelor's, masters and PhD.
- The application fee at NIFT for doctorates is Rs 3,000.
- The NIFT Gandhinagar application fee for SC/ST/PWD category is Rs 1,500.
How to fill out the NIFT Gandhinagar application form?
Before making the payment, the candidate can edit the information provided in the online application. Once the payment has been made, no changes to the application form will be admitted, especially in the city of examination.
However, candidates can review and correct their personal information in a specific window for the dates announced on the NIFT official website.
NIFT Gandhinagar Curriculum

NIFT Gandhinagar Facilities
The NIFT Gandhinagar campus boasts state-of-the-art student facilities, including 25 studios/classrooms, 2 IT conference rooms, and three audio-visual rooms for primary academics. It also has other academic and research-oriented facilities for the students.
It also houses a female hostel and staff of around 10,000 sq. mt. They have round-the-clock security facilities, as well as hostel wardens.
The NIFT Gandhinagar female hostel is on campus and has a housing capacity of 202 students. It is located near the cafeteria and also equipped with a fitness area in its back lounge. It provides rooms on both twin sharing or single occupancy basis.
